How to Connect TradingView Alerts to MT5 (Webhook Setup Guide)

Connect TradingView alerts to your own MT5 account with Signal2Trade. Set up the Windows client and EA, configure the webhook JSON, and verify the route on a demo account.

Setup and test checklist

  1. Prepare a Windows server with a public IP and port 80 available, install MT5, sign in to a demo account, and run Signal2Trade.
  2. Confirm Signal2Trade detects MT5. Install or update the EA if needed, attach it to the intended chart, enable automated trading and wait for the EA to show online.
  3. Send an MT test signal using the exact broker symbol on the MT5 chart. Check the MT5 Experts log before moving on.
  4. Send an internal and then a public test signal from Signal2Trade. Confirm both appear in signal history; the public test checks that the server address is reachable.
  5. Create a TradingView alert. Use a fixed side and quantity for an indicator, or strategy order variables for a strategy, and set walletID to mt.
  6. Enable Webhook URL, paste the Signal Address shown by Signal2Trade, and save the alert. After it triggers, check client signal history, the MT5 Experts log and demo account trade history.
